Darya Navidi

My name is Darya Navidi. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and my master’s degree in clinical child and adolescent psychology. I also completed a specialized psychoanalysis course at the University of Tehran. Currently, I am participating in an online parent-infant psychotherapy training program at Columbia University. I am an individual analytic psychotherapist with a strong interest in Winnicott’s perspective.

I was born and raised in Iran, where we are facing numerous challenges in this historical period. For two years, I volunteered with a domestic violence prevention platform and later with a suicide prevention organization. It is important to me to always dedicate time to volunteer work. I am aware that many Iranians have emigrated due to the difficult conditions in the country and may be facing significant challenges. I am sincerely eager to support these individuals in Persian.

I believe this collaboration has a lot to offer me in terms of learning. I was trained in psychoanalysis in a closed environment in Iran, and while I have always been deeply passionate about learning more, I think connecting with a professional network of therapists from around the world can help me become a better therapist and further develop myself.

This is a brief overview of my background. For more details, you can visit my personal website, and I am happy to answer any further questions.
